Baseado na série de TV americana escrita por Eric Kripke, Supernatural: The Animation é um novo anime especial lançado em DVD no japão, pela Warner Bros.. Sua história conta a tragetória dos irmãos Dean e Sam, onde viajam pelo país em busca de seu pai que esta desaparecido. Ao tempo disso, também são chamados de caçadores, por estarem atrás de eventos sobrenaturais causados de várias maneiras misteriosas, que conseguem desvendar um-a-um devido ao ensinamento de seu pai. Mal eles sabem que estarão entrando na história do pior acontecimento já visto pelo homem. Essa temporada equivalerá a 1ª e 2ª da série original, e vai até o episódio 22.
